TO SHOWCASE YOUR TALENTS
2026 WINTER CYCLE CONTEST THEME
The Right to Safety: Combating Gender-Based Violence
What does it mean for women and gender minorities to live free from violence, fear, coercion, and discrimination?
Participants are encouraged to explore the issue from social, legal, cultural, educational, historical, or personal perspectives. Submissions may address topics such as domestic violence, emotional abuse, sexual harassment, school safety, online harassment, harmful stereotypes, victim-blaming, silence around abuse, access to justice, or community-based prevention.
The goal of the contest is to encourage young people to become creative advocates for dignity, equality, and safety.
ART
Participants may submit original artwork in either digital or hand-drawn mediums (hand-drawn works require high-quality photography for submission).
All entries must have a file size under 500 MB. A maximum of three art pieces may be submitted for this category.
Selected Gold Medalists will have their artistic creations featured on the official GlobalWE website.
INFOGRAPHIC
The specifications for the Infographic category are the same as those for the Art category, with one additional requirement: each infographic must incorporate written text or a clear message as part of the visual design.
Participants may think of the submission as a visually engaging poster that combines artwork with meaningful written content.
Each participant may submit up to three entries, and each file must not exceed 500 MB.
Selected Gold Medalists will have their artistic creations featured on the official GlobalWE website.
SPEECH
Have something meaningful to say about gender-based violence? This is your opportunity to make your voice heard.
Contestants will deliver a 5 to 10-minute speech, record their performance on video, and submit the recording through the official contest registration form. A PDF transcript of the speech must also be included with the submission.
Selected Gold Medalists will have their performances featured on the official GlobalWE website.
